MJD runs the whole project: strip-out, structural changes, plumbing, electrics, tiling, fitting, and decoration. We work with your chosen kitchen supplier or can recommend trusted local options, and we don't consider the job done until everything works exactly as it should.

Survey & Specification
We measure up, discuss your vision, and coordinate with your kitchen designer or supplier to make sure everything fits together. Our quote covers all the labour needed to prepare the space and complete the installation — so there's no grey area about what's included.

Strip-Out & First Fix
The old kitchen is carefully removed. Any structural alterations (knocked-through walls, new openings, raising ceilings) are made at this stage. Plumbing and electrics are relocated to the new layout positions, ready for units.

Installation & Finishing
Units, worktops, appliances, tiling, flooring, and decoration are completed in sequence. We manage the schedule so nothing holds anything else up — no waiting a fortnight for a tiler while the kitchen sits half-finished.

Commissioning & Handover
All appliances are installed, connected, and tested. Snags are resolved. The kitchen is cleaned and handed over ready to use, with all manufacturer paperwork passed on.

- How long does a kitchen remodel take?
- A full kitchen remodel typically takes 3–5 weeks, depending on the size of the room, the complexity of any structural changes, and how bespoke the kitchen is. Simpler fit-outs (no structural work, straightforward layout) can be quicker. We'll give you a realistic programme upfront — and stick to it.
- Can I use my kitchen during the work?
- During a full remodel you won't have access to the kitchen — typically for 3–4 weeks. Most clients set up a temporary kitchen in another room with a microwave, kettle, and mini-fridge, which works much better than you'd expect. We work efficiently to get the kitchen back to you as quickly as possible.
- Do you supply the kitchen units, or do I source them separately?
- Both. We're happy to work with kitchens from any supplier — Howdens, IKEA, John Lewis, Neptune, or a bespoke local joiner. We can also make recommendations if you'd prefer guidance. The key is that the design is agreed and ordered before we start work on site.
- Is your price fixed, or can it change?
- We provide a fixed written quote before work begins. The only things that can affect it are genuinely unforeseen issues uncovered during the strip-out — hidden pipework in unexpected places, substandard original construction, or structural surprises. We'd always show you the issue and agree a price before proceeding with any additional work.
