Load-bearing wall removed and RSJ installed to create an open-plan ground floor living space.
The Brief
The clients wanted to connect their front room and kitchen by removing the dividing wall between them. A structural engineer had specified the beam; MJD handled the temporary support, the demolition, steel installation, and all the making-good — ensuring the ceiling, plasterwork, and floor were reinstated properly so the finished space showed no trace of where the wall had been.
